In terms of numerous forms of herd mentality , herd consumption is the most common. Chinese customers prioritize “adaptation” to achieve a harmonious agreement and conformity with the masses in the decision-making process.
In this project, I use floating balloons to explain the saying of "Customer is God", and the inert gas in balloons also criticize the Chinese consumers who are reluctant to make decisions by themselves. The silver balloon can reflect the surrounding image on the surface. So, this attribute is highly similar to the herd mentality that I want to discuss. The consumption environment is full of “mainstream views”, guiding consumers to follow the latest trend. These “Slavish Gods" are enjoying the thrill of shopping and the temporary vanity in sky. They do not even know that they have been manipulated by the surrounding views and become the puppet of the market.
